The YMO Trust Charter

Belief in the Cause:

All trustees work towards the cause and therefore no individual is bigger than the cause. All actions to positively impact the operation of the charity and in particular to look at international partnerships appropriately.

Respect:

Respect each other and provide when necessary constructive feedback in an appropriate manner to individuals to help move the charity in the right direction and thus support the individual.

Teamwork:

To recognise the power of the team over the individual and to welcome new members from diverse backgrounds into the charity if they demonstrate desire for the cause.

Perception:

Individuals involved with the charity to maintain at all times a high standard of ethics.

Tolerance:

To help each other to learn from mistakes and to accept that mistakes will be made.

Strengths:

To recognise strengths within the team and use these effectively. In addition to recognise the skills required from outside and plan to integrate those into the charity.

Energy & Commitment:

To try and maintain a high standard of energy in the public face and demonstrate commitment and strive for betterment for the cause.

Trust:

To trust each other and to help each other and learn from one another.


Goal:

To have a shared goal.


Voting & Power:

For the current named executive trustees to each have an equal democratic vote. For the original founders of the charity to remain on the board of directors.


Roles & Responsibilities :

Primarily the charity wants trustees to naturally select themselves to help. The Executive Committee defined the key roles and responsibilities.


Clarity:

On the mission and what is communicated.


Communication:

Effectively and timely communicate all aspects of the charity where appropriate, to appropriate members. Everyone does not need to know every detail but we need to be mindful of who to include and when.
